About SWFL Hoops

SWFLHoops.com was created in February of 2007 in order to create more overall awareness of local boy’s basketball teams and individuals within the Southwest Florida community as well as on a statewide and national level.  SWFL Hoops was later incorporated in March of 2007.

Our mission is to generate a higher level of excitement and pride within the local area boy’s basketball scene ultimately motivating young student-athletes to strive to be the best.  Through exposure for local deserving student-athletes, we hope to open up as many doors as possible allowing them to play basketball beyond the high school level.  With the exposure now more available to them, this will hopefully prove to be added motivation for them to succeed in the classroom, knowing that the better they do in the classroom their chances are for possible recruitment.  We also hope to give the fans and community a better understanding of how successful their local programs are in comparison with other schools within our Southwest Florida coverage area spanning from as far north as Bradenton down through Naples.  High school athletics provides an invaluable service to our communities, keeping adolescents occupied with something productive that teaches qualities such as healthy competitiveness, goal-seeking, perseverance, respect, and leadership.  SWFL Hoops' goal is to assist these coaches and schools by publicly recognizing the success of these quality student-athletes.

Eventually we plan to further our involvement through hosting high school team events and showcases as well as individual off-season camps and events.

Please join us in supporting and recognizing all of the positive things these schools, coaches, and student-athletes are accomplishing.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
