We recently caught up with Charlotte High's standout rising junior Nick Goshay.  Read about Nicks' experiences with travel ball, his goals, and much more in latest edition of "One on One."

SWFL Hoops: Hello Nick, thanks for taking the time with SWFLHoops.com. How would you describe the transition from your High School Coach to your AAU Coach?

Nick: Well there is not much of one coming that way, it maybe would be more difficult going from an AAU Coach to a High School coach.

SWFL Hoops: What would you say is the biggest difference between the two (AAU and HS BBall)?

Nick: Definitely the referees. They let you play a lot more in AAU which definitely gives the game a faster and harder nosed tempo.

SWFL Hoops: What would you describe as your greatest attribute out on the hardwood?

Nick: The fact that I do not need to score in order to help my team win. I can help them in multiple ways, whether it is rebounding, defense, passing, or just hustling.

SWFL Hoops: What about things you need to work on in order to elevate your game?

Nick: I feel as though I really need to work on my off-hand. My footwork, quickness, and stamina all could use a little more effort.

SWFL Hoops: Where would you play college ball if the choice was yours?

Nick: Either UConn or Georgetown

SWFL Hoops: What do you like to do when you are not playing basketball?

Nick: I am either sleeping or working out. Lately I have been hanging out with my family a lot, especially my brother who is leaving soon and means a lot to me.

SWFL Hoops: Is there anything you do to prepare for a tough game either mentally or physically?

Nick: I listen to music and zone out the crowd. I try my hardest to stay focused and to not get down on myself if the game does not start the way I want it to. Oh yea…and my lucky pair of tights.

SWFL Hoops: Who is your favorite NBA player?

Nick: Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat

SWFL Hoops: What has been your best memory so far in your basketball career?

Nick: This past year our HS team traveled to Tennessee for a tournament. It was incredible traveling there and playing on that stage. Great feeling.

SWFL Hoops: Thank you Nick, good luck next weekend, I am sure we will be hearing from you.
