Notes: Raw post player with loads of upside and with work could easily turn his size and length into a mid to high D1 scholarship. With a lot of work of course. He is getting better by the week it seems, and he is now mastering the concept that he has a 7'2 wing span and can dominate a game defensively by staying wide and playing good help side. Offensively he has soft hands and a soft touch around the basket but at this point his lack of strength keeps him from being much of a force over even smaller defenders when they contest his shot. So he is not as dominate as he should be on the boards but the effort is there and you can tell he wants to get better. This spring and summer he will turns some heads with his size for his age, but to keep them looking seriously, at least the mid majors and above, he will need to improve some part of his game often. One last key to watch for is just who will take over as Ft Myers HS coach, and whomever does, how well they will develop Josh over the next two years. We will be keeping very close tabs on his progress.
