Notes: Very good young talent who has solidified himself as one of the top dogs in a very talented SWFL 2011 class. Big point guard with a high skill level and high basketball IQ who continues to get taller and add weight rapidly. His confidence driving the ball into traffic and his ability to finish the play in traffic with such a smooth approach is almost deceiving. The smoothness to his game is due in part to his ability to play angles so well. His shot from the outside has became a key weapon for Evin, who used to be reluctant to pull the trigger in order to be more point guard minded. He can score in bunches or make your team better while being unselfish and primarily being a distributor, whichever is needed. He also had good size and long arms and is still developing physically but added nearly 10-15 pounds since his sophomore year. Defensively he is learning to use his length and athleticism very well to give opposing guards fits whether trying to get their team into the offense or trying to get by him and into the lane. Evin caught a lot of college coaches and scouts eyes last spring/summer playing on the AAU travel circuit with a good SWFL Select 16U team against top notch state/national competition. Now with a State Title under his belt, he will look to continue to ascent up the lists of the best players in Florida in 2011, and continue to increase his college interest.
